Jakob Carl Sauer

Jakob Carl Sauer is an Austrian director and cinematographer. Growing up between mountains and lakes in the lush nature of Carinthia, he later graduated from the Film Academy Vienna and is currently living between Berlin and Vienna. His signature work are dreamy fiction films and cinematic documentaries. His visual language strives to make the unspeakable perceptible. Observing closely and imprinting stories with a vivid sense of reality is key to his work, aiming to break the barrier between gaze and immersive experience.
